About the Authors
Javier Auyero is Professor of Sociology at the University of Texas at Austin. He is the author of several books, including Flammable: Environmental Catastrophe and the Politics of Imagination in Argentina and The Contentious Politics of Water in Latin America.
Mariela S. Cuadro is Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of California, San Diego. She is the author of Dilemmas of Neoliberalism: Authoritarianism and Democracy in Argentina and Rethinking Latin American Politics: Resistance in the Neoliberal Era.
